KMM has a Project Management Department concerned solely with responsiveness to customer's needs. A system of records and reports is in place to ensure follow-through on questions and issues with customer projects. We have a separate system to control the distribution of drawings and build processes, and to control the origination and rigorous implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN's) or other drawing changes. Configuration control is provided to ensure correct fabrication.

Delivery is a prime motivator at KMM, second only to Quality issues. Killdeer is committed to meeting promised schedules. Program managers maintain communication with the customer on any known issues that could affect schedule.

We are committed to a continuous improvement program as a part of the Lean Manufacturing Program and 6 Sigma initiatives that we actively pursue. KMM requires continuous improvement from every area of operation. Every employee is trained in SPC and participates on at least one Quality Improvement Team (QIT). Discussions focus on quality issues, but members are empowered to make improvements that affect schedule and affordability as well.

Every engineer and manager is assigned annual goals designed to maintain and improve upon product affordability. These goals are communicated throughout the company to stabilize and reduce both direct and indirect costs.
